Conference to explore 2025 Sarawak Budget at BCCK this Dec 3-4

KUCHING (Nov 21): The 2025 Sarawak Budget Conference, set to be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Dec 3 and 4, promises to be an engaging and impactful event for stakeholders across Sarawak and Malaysia.

With the theme ‘Together Building a Prosperous Future’, this two-day event will explore Sarawak’s record-breaking RM15.8 billion budget and its alignment with the Malaysia Madani vision and the state’s sustainable development goals.

As Sarawak continues its journey toward becoming a high-income region, it is essential for business investors and government stakeholders to understand the financial strategies and environmental policies shaping its future.

This inaugural conference, jointly organised by Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence Sdn Bhd (SCOPE), the Leadership Institute of Sarawak State Civil Service, and SALIHIN International LLP, marks a significant milestone in fostering public discourse on Sarawak’s budget and regional fiscal policies.

Spanning two days, Day 1 will focus on 2025 Sarawak Budget insights, exploring the specifics of the state budget, while Day 2 will examine Bridging Regional Aspirations with the 2025 Malaysia Madani Budget vision, assessing its implications for Sarawak’s progress and alignment with national priorities.

The conference serves as an essential platform for stakeholders looking to understand the transformative potential of both the Sarawak and Malaysia Madani budgets, collectively shaping the future trajectory of Sarawak and its role within Malaysia.

The conference features over 20 distinguished local and international speakers and panellists. Among them are Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Hamid Bugo, Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM) former chief executive officer Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Nizom Sairi, and Agape ATP Corporation (Nasdaq) deputy chairman Dr John Vong, who will share local and global perspectives and highlight best practices in economic strategies.
