Regent Bali Canggu: The Island’s Newest Culinary Landmark
1 day ago
Bali has long been known for its lush landscapes and spiritual allure, but with the arrival of Regent Bali Canggu, it’s fast becoming a standout destination for culinary travellers. Situated just steps from the beach, this luxurious new resort introduces five distinct dining venues, each offering a refined taste of place and culture.
At the forefront is Sazón, a lively tapas bar inspired by the vibrant streets of Barcelona. Overseen by Michelin-starred Chef Andrew Walsh—the talent behind Singapore’s acclaimed Cure—Sazón combines bold Spanish flavours with the relaxed energy of Canggu. Expect dishes like arroz negro, octopus with potato espuma, and a curated selection of Sherry and Cava wines, all served in a warm, design-led setting.
Later in 2025, Walsh will open Cure Canggu, drawing on his European roots and culinary journey across Asia. Designed as an elevated dining experience, it will highlight seasonal Indonesian produce with a modern European lens.
The resort’s signature restaurant, Taru, reinterprets traditional Indonesian recipes such as rendang sapi and udang bakar woku, honouring local ingredients and heritage. For coastal indulgence, Beach House serves contemporary ocean-inspired dishes made from freshly caught seafood and island-grown herbs, while The Lounge offers a relaxed yet refined space for locally roasted coffee, wine, and light bites with panoramic ocean views.
With its commitment to authenticity, provenance, and creativity, Regent Bali Canggu is more than a place to stay—it’s a gastronomic journey that celebrates the best of Bali and beyond. As culinary tourism continues to grow, the resort is fast establishing itself as one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting epicurean escapes.
