Road diversion along Jalan Tun Jugah near Emporium Kuching from July 18 to Feb 16, 2026

KUCHING, July 17: Sarawak Metro, the implementing agency of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project, has announced a temporary road diversion along Jalan Tun Jugah, in front of Emporium Kuching, from July 18, 2025, to Feb16, 2026.

In an advisory issued today, Sarawak Metro said the diversion is necessary to facilitate the construction of viaduct pillars for the KUTS project.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when passing through the affected area and to comply with all traffic management measures, road warning signs, and speed limits to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.

Sarawak Metro also assured the public that any changes to the work schedule will be communicated in a timely manner.

Road users are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly.
