146 conferred Sarawak awards, Tourism Board chief and Limbang Resident among recipients

KUCHING: A total of 146 recipients were conferred with the Sarawak awards and medals by Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at an Investiture Ceremony held at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the investiture ceremony began with the presentation of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam – Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C.) to seven recipients including Director of the Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit Sapiah Daud, Resident of Limbang Unus Tambi, and chief executive officer of Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) Sharzede Datu Salleh.
Other recipients of the P.P.C. included Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak Anielia Siam, Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak Nur Alina Abdullah, general manager of STIDC Zainal Abidin Abdullah, and Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak, Latiff Coupon.
Meanwhile, the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak – Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S.) was conferred to five individuals, among them was Lecturer at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Faculty of Resources Science and Technology, Professor Dr Ramlah Zainudin.
A total of 15 recipients were then awarded the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak – Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.), while 18 individuals received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Awam – Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.).
Following that, 17 recipients were awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.), 15 individuals received the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.), 39 received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T.), and 30 were awarded the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.).
Also present at the ceremony were the wife of the Sarawak Governor, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, and Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai. – DayakDaily
