Sultan of Selangor Joins Hundreds in KITA Run at Pantai Kelanang

THE Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Norashikin, took part in the KITA X Pesta Kelaut\@Pantai Kelanang 2025 Run this morning, joining over 1,000 participants in the coastal celebration of community and culture.

Arriving at the venue at 7.30 am, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, and Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

.Following the event, the royal couple visited exhibition booths featuring displays from local entrepreneurs and government agencies, showcasing community-driven economic and creative ventures.

Their Majesties also observed the ‘Pertandingan Sukan Rakyat’, a highlight of Pesta Kelaut 2025, which revived traditional Malaysian games such as pillow fighting, coconut bowling, beach tug of war, and slippery pole climbing.

The festival, aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles, local heritage, and seaside tourism, drew visitors from across the region. - July 20, 2025
