KUCHING, July 29: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to attend the Sarawak Development Coordination Committee Meeting (SDCCM) in Kapit scheduled for August.
Kapit MP Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced this on a Facebook post following a pre-council meeting he chaired regarding the Premier’s visit held at the Kapit Division Resident’s Office on Monday (July 28).
“The meeting is crucial for gathering feedback from the various government agencies and departments concerning development projects that are ongoing or planned in Kapit, to be presented to the Premier of Sarawak during the SDCCM.
“It also serves to ensure that priority development projects are not overlooked and that their implementation processes run smoothly, ultimately benefiting the people,” said Nanta, who is also the federal Minister of Works.
The meeting also aimed at ensuring the upcoming SDCCM proceeds smoothly, with all parties making thorough preparations starting from now.
In conjunction with the visit, Abang Johari is also expected to officiate the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Kapit Hotel and the opening ceremony of the new building for the Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA). — DayakDaily
