The vivo V60 Delivers Mid-Range Power With Style and Precision
6 days ago
Tech giant vivo has kept up an impressive run this year with the V50 and the X200 FE. Each release highlighted different strengths, from reliable battery life to capable cameras and solid day-to-day performance. Now, all eyes are on the vivo V60, bringing a polished design, an immersive display, and ZEISS-backed cameras tuned for sharper results. It feels like more than just a refresh—it could redefine vivo’s mid-range lineup.
Having used the V50 before, I was eager to try the V60, and Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2025 offered the perfect testing ground. Between packed schedules, runway shows, and countless photo opportunities, I wanted to see if the phone could keep up with a busy, content-heavy day. After a week of hands-on use, here’s my take on how it performs.
CAMERA AND PHOTOSThe vivo V60’s ZEISS camera setup
My experience with earlier vivo models gave me confidence in the V60, and it lived up to that expectation. This phone packs a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera, making it a versatile photography tool. Backstage at KLFW 2025, where lighting can be unpredictable, I tested the front camera with a few models’ selfies. The results? Crisp, vibrant, and full of life.
My favourite feature is the portrait mode, powered by ZEISS Portrait So Pro, which lets me zoom up to 85mm or even 100mm. From a model’s expression to the textures of their outfit—every shot came effortlessly. The 10x Telephoto Stage Portrait mode takes this even further, delivering sharp shots from a distance as if they were right in front of me.
On the runway, I put the 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera to work. Even with models walking and lights constantly shifting, footage stayed impressively steady, and I could clearly capture the smallest details—the weave, prints, and textures of the clothes—making every shot feel professional.

DESIGNThe vivo V60’s three colours
The first thing that caught my eye was the colour. I received Berry Purple, which immediately won me over with its mix of vibrancy and grace. It blends well with my darker wardrobe, adding just the right amount of brightness while maintaining a composed elegance. For those drawn to different moods, the V60 also comes in Mist Gray, a versatile tone for any style, and Summer Blue, a dreamy and breezy option.
The design impressed me just as much as the colour. Ultra-slim bezels stretch the display nearly to the edges, while each corner’s precise 41° golden arc adds a subtle sense of symmetry and modern polish. The phone feels almost weightless in my hand, and whether I’m scrolling, editing, or simply carrying it, it sits comfortably—as if designed to fit naturally with me.
DISPLAY AND SCREENThe vivo V60’s homescreen
The 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display is a treat for the eyes, with ultra-narrow bezels that make it look nearly endless. Everything feels smooth thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR mode pushes brightness up to 5,000 nits—so even under blazing sunlight, every detail remains visible.
PERFORMANCEThe vivo V60’s app drawer
I’ve only been using the vivo V60 for a little over a week, but it’s clear how much thought went into its performance. Powered by the Snapdragon® 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, switching between apps feels effortless, and multitasking is smooth—I could run multiple apps without a hiccup. Every swipe, tap, and scroll responds instantly, making everyday use incredibly satisfying.
Battery life is equally impressive. The 6,500 mAh BlueVolt battery kept pace throughout KLFW 2025—from shooting to editing to scrolling—and still had plenty of power left at the end of the day. Even after editing multiple shows, it never let me down. The V60 keeps up with my rhythm, letting me focus on creating content without worrying about running out of juice.
The vivo V60 is now available for purchase, starting from RM 1,999. Check out the official vivo website for more details.
