Which Jewellery Brand Won Venice Film Festival 2025?

The 82nd Venice Film Festival kicked off with great fanfare. Staples of international cinema—Hollywood royalties Julia Roberts, Cate Blanchett, and Emma Stone included—sparkled under the camera flashes upon landing on the Lido. The opening film, Paolo Sorrentino’s introspective drama La Grazia, set the tone for what was to come as it debuted to critical acclaim. But beyond the buzzy world premieres, the spectacular jewellery spotted on the red carpet received its fair share of screen time.

Cartier made a strong showing at the fest with its creations embellishing high-profile attendees like Amal Clooney and house ambassador Gemma Chan. One of the most noteworthy looks here was none other than the Cafayate necklace on Riley Keough. Extracted from the En Equilibre high jewellery collection, the necklace brought a burst of colours to the premiere of Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly with its iridescent opals.

Another statement piece that stole the spotlight at the screening was Pomellato’s Catene necklace. Worn by Greta Gerwig, the white gold necklace sparkled with over 1,900 diamonds. Bvlgari commanded attention with its own diamond-studded numbers. From the supple Bvlgari Serpenti on Shailene Woodley to the sleek Bvlgari B.zero1 on Andrew Garfield, the house aptly brought out the classics to the oldest film festival in the world.

The Venice Film Festival is known for its influence as an awards-season launchpad. Emma Stone, whose film Poor Things bagged the Golden Lion just two years ago and won her the Best Actress trophy at the Oscars, returned with another Yorgos Lanthimos collaboration. Embracing the offbeat tone and style of her film, Bugonia, the actress showed up with the Rupture earcuff set and the Perception ring from Louis Vuitton’s high jewellery collections.

Rising star Ayo Edebiri also made a head-turning appearance at the festival. The star of Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt dazzled in the Fontaine high jewellery earrings in 18K white gold with diamonds by Chanel. Her co-star, Julia Roberts, delivered equally captivating jewellery moments in a Chopard ensemble. Living up to her movie-star status, Roberts stunned in platinum and titanium earrings as well as an 18K white gold bracelet.
