7. EXPERIENCE A BLEND OF CINEMA AND ART AT ‘THE AUTOMATON PROJECT 2025’When: From now until 20 October 2025 | 11am to 8pm

Filmmaker and artist Jonathan Jayasuria is making his solo exhibition debut at AweGallery with the opening of ‘The Automaton Project 2025’. Inspired by his love for 1980s sci-fi films, the 28-year-old has created 66 handmade robot figurines, each made from upcycled computer parts and presented in cinematic installations. The exhibition is a creative look at how the lines between art and cinema can be blurred, putting visitors smack dab in the middle of a “film set” for the ultimate immersive gallery experience.
