Chinese tea brand Juancha brews new chapter of friendship between Kuching, Zhengzhou

KUCHING, Oct 12: The opening of Chinese tea brand Juancha’s outlet at Boulevard Mall here represents not only another milestone in Kuching’s friendship with Zhengzhou, but also its growth as a dynamic, connected, and gastronomic city.

These remarks were said by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor, Dato Wee Hong Seng, during the launching ceremony of Juancha’s outlet in Boulevard Mall here today.

Noting that this is the second product brand from Zhengzhou to establish its presence in Kuching, following the earlier success of Mixue, Wee said that the brand’s arrival contributes meaningfully to the local economy and job creation.

He added that it also marked the brand’s first outlet in Kuching and second in Malaysia.

“Kuching is proud to welcome Juancha to our city. Beyond bringing a new and exciting beverage experience, this outlet represents new career opportunities for our local people and continued growth for our food and beverage industry,” he said.

He added that Juancha’s presence complements Kuching’s recognition as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, further enriching the city’s vibrant culinary scene.

“As a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, we celebrate diversity in food and drink from traditional dishes to modern innovations. Juancha’s creative blends of Oriental Spice Milk Tea and Oriental Fresh Fruit Tea add another flavourful experience for both locals and visitors to savour,” he said.

Wee said that the opening of the Boulevard Mall outlet signifies Juancha’s commitment to introducing the art of Oriental tea culture to more Malaysians, blending heritage and modern taste while fostering international friendship and economic collaboration between Kuching and Zhengzhou. — DayakDaily
