KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 — The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) disciplinary board has suspended Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal’s party membership for one term and expelled Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan, along with four division chiefs, over disciplinary breaches.
In a statement today, the board said the decision was made after a written complaint was lodged by party members against them for violating provisions of the party’s constitution and code of ethics.
“The Disciplinary Board conducted an investigation into the complaints and summoned the respondents for a hearing session on October 8, 2025. The Board has since reached a decision in line with Clause 22.5 of the Bersatu Constitution.
“The Disciplinary Board hereby informs that the following respondents have been subject to disciplinary action for breaching Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu Constitution and the Party Members’ Code of Ethics and Conduct,” it said.
The four expelled division chiefs are from the Ipoh Timor, Hang Tuah Jaya, Ampang and Pengerang divisions.
The board said that any Bersatu member found guilty of breaching party discipline and penalised has the right to appeal to the Appeals Board within 14 days.
It added that its decision was made independently and without external interference.
It also reminded all Bersatu members to abide by the party’s Constitution and Code of Conduct to preserve the party’s integrity.
A source from Bersatu told Malay Mail that the disciplinary action was linked to an alleged internal movement to gather statutory declarations (SDs) aimed at challenging party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership, as well as the recent commotion during the party’s national convention.
Malay Mail have reached out to Wan Ahmad Fayhsal and Wan Saiful for further comments.
