Fiuu, a leading fintech platform in Southeast Asia, has announced a partnership with Pos Malaysia, the national post and parcel service provider, and Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet), the national payments network, to introduce a cashless solution for cash-on-delivery (COD) payments.
Powered by Fiuu’s payment platform and PayNet’s DuitNow QR, the initiative aims to make COD transactions more seamless and secure for Malaysians, offering a modern payment experience at their doorstep.
Customers can now pay for parcels by scanning a QR code on their smartphones — eliminating the need for cash and reducing delays during delivery. This new feature not only enhances customer convenience but also supports the nation’s transition toward a cashless economy.
Revolutionising Cash-On-Delivery Across Malaysia
DuitNow QR, Malaysia’s national QR standard developed by PayNet, simplifies digital payments for consumers and businesses alike. With this rollout, over 6,000 Pos Malaysia riders across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak are now equipped to collect COD payments digitally.
This improvement tackles long-standing operational challenges such as manual cash handling, shortage of small change, and theft or misplacement of funds, making COD safer for both customers and delivery riders.
The solution also supports cross-border e-wallet and mobile banking payments, including Alipay+, Weixin Pay (WeChat Pay), UnionPay QR, QRIS, NETS, and PromptPay. This allows non-Malaysian customers to make payments conveniently, while merchants enjoy domestic transaction rates — expanding reach without additional cost.
Strengthening Malaysia’s Parcel And Payments Ecosystem
With over 30 million parcels delivered annually, Pos Malaysia’s adoption of DuitNow QR represents a major step forward in modernising parcel and payment systems. By integrating Fiuu’s platform, the partnership improves payment efficiency, reduces risks, and supports e-commerce growth nationwide.
For consumers, the system offers speed, convenience, and security. For merchants, it helps cut operational costs, reduce reconciliation issues, and streamline payment management.
Eng Sheng Guan, CEO of Fiuu, said the partnership is an important step in advancing Malaysia’s digital economy.
“We are committed to delivering secure and innovative payment solutions that benefit consumers, merchants, and delivery partners. By integrating DuitNow QR into COD services, Fiuu can automate the cashless collection process and create a more seamless experience for everyone involved.”
Charles Brewer, Group CEO of Pos Malaysia, added:
“At Pos Malaysia, we are passionate about building trust to connect lives and businesses. By embracing DuitNow QR, we’re transforming our COD services to meet evolving customer needs. This innovation enhances convenience while reinforcing our commitment to digitalisation and service excellence.”
Gary Yeoh, Chief Marketing Officer of PayNet, said:
“PayNet is proud to enable the courier and parcel sector to adopt more efficient and secure digital payment methods. With DuitNow QR, we’re simplifying COD transactions and helping accelerate Malaysia’s journey toward a cashless society.”
The partnership between Fiuu, Pos Malaysia, and PayNet signals a new chapter for Malaysia’s e-commerce and logistics industry, paving the way for a more digitally connected, secure, and customer-focused future.
