Man Fined RM550 After Calling Neighbour 'Fat' During Argument | WeirdKaya

A man was fined after he insulted his neighbour by calling her “fat” during a heated confrontation earlier this year. Argument spiralled into multiple incidents

Reported by Kosmo!, 33 year old Aaron Quinn from Britain had been involved in a series of disputes with his neighbours on the same day.

Prosecutor Renee Southern said the behaviour was not an isolated moment but an ongoing incident that escalated as the day went on.

Before the argument with the female neighbour, Sarah Allen, Quinn had gone to another neighbour’s house and kicked the door while demanding the man come outside. He later left the property and damaged a light until it broke.

Insulted neighbour’s weight and caused distress

Later that day, Quinn confronted Allen and insulted her weight by calling her “fat”. Southern said the insult caused the woman emotional distress and formed part of a continuous string of aggressive behaviour.

Quinn told the court that he had been struggling with insomnia following his mother’s death, although this did not excuse his actions.

Fined and barred from contacting victim

He pleaded guilty at the Warrington Magistrates Court and was fined. He was also ordered to pay £100, which is around RM550, in compensation to Allen.

The court additionally issued a 12 month restraining order that prevents him from contacting the victim in any way.
