Korean Air Unveils New Prestige East Lounge

Korean Air is elevating the meaning of pre-flight comfort with the unveiling of its newly renovated Prestige East (Left) Lounge at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, officially opening on January 14. Designed to move beyond traditional airport lounge conventions, the refreshed space blends premium hospitality with playful, hands-on experiences that reflect evolving traveller expectations.

Spanning 1,553 square metres and offering seating for 192 guests, the lounge draws inspiration from the refined comfort of luxury hotel lounges. Warm materials, open layouts and thoughtfully zoned areas create an atmosphere that feels relaxed yet sophisticated. Guests can enjoy a full range of amenities, including buffet dining and live cooking stations, dedicated dining areas, a bar, shower facilities and work-friendly spaces tailored for business travellers.

What truly sets the lounge apart, however, are its new experiential zones — a bold reimagining of what an airport lounge can be.

At the heart of the space is the Ramyeon Library, a self-service station celebrating the global rise of K-Food. Here, passengers can customise their own instant noodles by choosing from a selection of ramyeon and toppings, then preparing them on automated cooking machines — a comforting, interactive ritual before departure.

For those seeking a more curated experience, Cooking Studio L’atelier offers participation-based sessions operated in collaboration with chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon. Activities such as chocolate bark making are available via on-site reservation, turning waiting time into a creative indulgence.

Families and younger travellers are also well catered for with a dedicated Arcade Room. Complete with photo booths, claw machines, air hockey and car racing games, the space injects a sense of fun and play into the premium lounge environment.

Complementing the physical upgrades are smart digital enhancements designed to streamline the lounge experience. Passengers using vouchers or mileage can reserve lounge access in advance via the Korean Air website or app, while real-time crowd monitoring allows travellers to check congestion levels and choose less crowded lounges. During peak hours, a mobile queuing system notifies guests when seats become available.

The reopening of the Prestige East (Left) Lounge forms part of Korean Air’s broader lounge expansion at Incheon Terminal 2, ahead of its integration with Asiana Airlines. Once all renovation phases are completed, the airline’s total lounge space will nearly triple, significantly increasing seating capacity and reinforcing Korean Air’s commitment to delivering a seamless, elevated ground experience.
