TNB Electron deploys second 240kW DC Charger in Alor Setar, located at Wisma TNB

TNB Electron continues to expand the number of DC charge points in Alor Setar and they have deployed their second high-powered EV charging location in the Kedah capital.

After deploying a 240kW DC Charger with four bays at Yard TNB Mergong in Alor Setar, they have just turned on a similar 240kW DC Charging site with four bays located at Wisma TNB Alor Setar.

As part of its opening, TNB Electron also provides free charging for a limited time this weekend.

For this location, TNB Electron has deployed a TELD DC Charging solution with a total capacity of 240kW and there are a total of 4x CCS2 nozzles.

These chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh, and you can activate and pay for charging by tapping your credit and debit card at the JuiceUP payment terminal

Take note that each nozzle is rated at 250A. This means 800V EVs can get up to 200kW while 400V EVs can get up to a maximum of 100kW.

As usual, EV drivers can enjoy free charging whenever TNB Electron turns on a new site as part of its testing phase.

For this new charger at Wisma TNB Alor Setar, you can enjoy complimentary charging from 12:00pm on 24th January to 11:59pm on 25th January 2026.
