MPV set ablaze in suspected act of arson, vandalism at Lorong Stapok Selatan

KUCHING, May 23: A Toyota Vellfire multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) was damaged in a suspected case or arson or vandalism at Lorong Stapok Selatan 7 here today.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 4.58am, and firefighters from the Batu Lintang station were deployed.

It was noted that the rear section of the vehicle sustained about 10 per cent of damage, and that the fire was extinguished before firefighters’ arrival.

Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was caused by an act of vandalism or arson, and the case has been handed over to the police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
