Leak confirms Pixel 11 'Glow' is called 'HiLight' and what it can do

As we reported on last week, the “Pixel Glow” feature coming to the Pixel 11 series is likely going to be marketed as “HiLight,” and a new image both confirms that branding as well as showing what the feature can do.

Rewinding a bit, “Pixel Glow” has popped up several times over the past few months, with the LED showing up in some of Google’s official teasers. It replaces the traditional flash with something that can change color on the fly. But, at least officially, Google hasn’t talked about what it will be able to do.

Roland Quandt of WinFuture took to Bluesky with an official-looking marketing image for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with “HiLight” on full display with that branding. So “Pixel Glow” is officially out at this point.

There’s also a brief description of what the feature will do (translated):

That lines up exactly with our initial findings on the feature from April.

It’s unclear if Google is bringing anything else to the table with Pixel 11’s “HiLight,” but we don’t have long to wait in order to find out, as the Pixel 11 launch event is barely a week away.
