A recent TikTok video posted by user @dayahshahani has captured the hearts of Malaysians after showcasing an endearing scene involving a pair of trained elephants, also known as gajah denak, assisting in the relocation of a wild elephant.

The footage, taken in a residential area around Kampung Bongor in Gerik, Perak, shows the wild elephant being escorted by the two trained elephants. The wild elephant, with an iron chain gently fastened around its neck, appeared hesitant and was seemingly reluctant to follow the pair ahead.

In one amusing moment, the elephant even tried to take a detour into a path in front of a house before being gently scolded by one of the accompanying handlers. The incident added a touch of humour to the operation and highlighted the stubborn yet charming nature of the wild elephant.

"The buddy was forced to go home, his steps were really heavy. His feet kept trying to veer off. Hope big guy will be alright at the new place," the caption on the TikTok post read.
