A man in Singapore found his wife in a rather compromising state with her lover inside a car and sustained injuries when he tried to stop the other man from leaving the scene.
Was acquainted with wife’s loverThe husband Wu Yongsheng (transliteration), testified in court on July 1 about what had transpired.
He told the court that he and the other man, Chia Hiok Seah, were acquainted with each other as Chia was his wife’s friend and often chatted with her.
On June 29, 2024, Wu said he became worried after he couldn’t contact his wife and went downstairs to look for her when he saw Chia’s car parked at the parking lot.
Wu added that he recognised Chia’s licence plate number as he had driven his wife home before, reported Shin Min Daily News.
SG man catches wife naked with BF inside carSensing that there might be more to the story, Wu decided to take a video as evidence but told the court he stood beside the car as he wasn’t sure whether there was anyone inside.
While filming, he stepped closer to the car and found his wife and Chia naked inside.Wu then tried opening the car door and demanded the duo to come out but failed on both fronts.
When Wu saw Chia attempting to flee, he climbed onto the hood of the car but fell off when Chia slammed on the gas pedal and drove off.
Hospitalised for injuriesAs a result of the fall, Wu had multiple abrasions on his face, hands, knees, and chest, mainly on the left side of his body.
On top of that, he also felt severe pain all over his body and had blood on his face, shoulders, and hands.
After calling an ambulance, Wu was sent to the hospital and underwent surgery. He also requested the nurse and paramedics to photograph his injuries as he wanted to know how severe they were.
A police report was subsequently filed following Wu’s hospitalisation. He was also given 14 days of sick leave and returned to the hospital to remove the stitches.
When asked by the prosecution why he did not call the police immediately, Wu said he wanted to attend to himself after seeing how serious the injury was.He added he would feel pain in his toes while recovering as well as discomfort after walking. Several scars were left on his face too.
Furthermore, Wu said he had follow-up visits with the doctor till October 2024, and cannot perform strenuous exercises.
As for Chia, he now faces two charges and pleaded not guilty to the charge of reckless conduct causing hurt to others.
