2025 Emmy Awards: Winners and Highlights
The small screen took centre spotlight at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, as TV’s biggest night celebrated the budding and mainstay stars who kept us glued to our screens the past year.
Netflix’s hit mini-series Adolescence dominated its category, taking home six trophies, including best limited series and actor awards for Stephen Graham and breakout star Owen Cooper—the latter making history as the youngest male Emmy winner at just 15 years old.
Over on the drama side, Apple TV’s Severance led the night with 27 nominations; however, it was HBO Max’s The Pitt that ultimately edged out to take home best drama series. The medical drama also earned Noah Wyle the best lead actor award, his first Emmy in 26 years after he was last nominated in the category.
HBO Max continued their streak with Cristin Milioti taking home the best lead actress for her performance in The Penguin.
But it was the comedy category where records were broken as Apple TV+’s The Studio snagged four statuettes that night, which rounds up the show’s total winnings to 13 trophies, including awards given out at the Creative Arts Emmys.
The comedy series written, directed, and starring Seth Rogen nabbed best comedy and best lead actor, amongst others. Hacks’ Jean Smart once again received best actress in a comedy for a second year in a row.
