In conjunction with the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, the Government has decided to implement a work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants.
The Public Service Department (JPA) said the move is in line with the MADANI Government’s commitment to improving public well-being and ensuring the smooth delivery of public services.
The WFH policy will run for 6 working days!
The WFH policy for civil servants, which runs from 21 October to 28, will continue to be applied flexibly in line with existing regulations.
In a statement, JPA said the policy, outlined under the Human Resource Service Circular SR.4.1.2, aims to balance the agency’s need to maintain operations with the officers’ well-being and work-life balance.
“Eligible officers should consult their HOD for consideration”
According to JPA, the move is part of the MADANI Government’s effort to promote resilient and compassionate governance, in line with its core values of well-being, empathy, and efficient public service.
They added that the implementation of this policy must follow the procedures and conditions set under current regulations.
