TNG eWallet Visa Travel Card: Up to 3% cashback, 0% FX markup

TNG Digital has just released its new TNG eWallet Visa Travel Card which provides up to 3% unlimited cashback for overseas spending. On top of that, the new Visa Prepaid card also offers one free overseas ATM withdrawal per month which is a great perk if you need to use cash while travelling overseas.

Similar to its existing TNG eWallet Visa card, users can also enjoy 0% FX markup for overseas transactions and view the current exchange rate directly in the eWallet app.

Like the name suggests, this is a travel-focused Visa card that’s linked to your TNG eWallet. While the current card now offers up to 1% cashback for overseas transactions, this new Travel Card lets you enjoy unlimited cashback up to 3% when used overseas. In addition, the card also lets you enjoy 1% cashback every Wednesday for all international online purchases.

On the current TNG Visa card, users are charged RM10 for each international withdrawal while the new card lets you enjoy 1 free international withdrawal per month at any Visa ATMs worldwide. Subsequent ATM withdrawals in the month will be charged at RM10.

When it come to fees, you’ll need to pay RM20 during sign up which consists of an application fee of RM15 and a delivery fee of RM5. The annual fee for the Visa Travel Card is RM8 but it is waived for the first year.

When it comes to cashback, TNG eWallet adopts a tiered system for overseas spending. If you spend at least RM2.00, you’ll be given a 0.5% cashback. To unlock an additional 1.0% cashback, you’ll need to spend a minimum of RM150 in a single transaction.

To get an additional 1.5% cashback (total 3.0% cashback), you’ll need to spend a minimum of RM300 on a single transaction.

So if you spend RM200, you’ll receive a 1.5% cashback of RM3. But if you spend RM320, you’ll receive a 3% cashback of RM9.60.

The current “3% cashback campaign” is running from 15th October until 31st December 2025.

Take note that each TNG eWallet user is only allowed to have one active Visa prepaid card. If you have the existing TNG eWallet “Basic” Visa card, your current card will be deactivated once you apply for the new Travel Card.

For more info, you can visit TNG eWallet’s Visa card page.
