Post-mortem completed on Sri Aman couple suspected of murder; bodies returned home for Sunday burial

KUCHING (Jan 15): Post-mortem examinations have been completed on a husband and wife suspected to have been murdered in Taman Mutiara, Sri Aman.

According to a source, the autopsies at Sarawak General Hospital began at 9.30am and concluded around 1pm.

Both bodies were returned to their Taman Mutiara home by 2pm and are scheduled to be buried at a cemetery in Sri Aman on Sunday morning.

Preliminary checks confirmed that both victims, a 45-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife, had died at the scene.

Both sustained severe neck injuries, while the husband also suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest.

The man has been identified as Andy Roy Junran, a headmaster at a school in Lubok Antu, and his wife as Angelin Kibin, a nurse.

The couple had two daughters and a son.

Their bodies were discovered by one of their children around 6.55am on Wednesday, who noticed that the parents had not emerged from their bedroom while preparing for school.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Authorities are investigating the motive and cause of death, while collecting evidence and recording witness statements.
