Gamuda Land and Taylor’s Assets marked the groundbreaking of Haus on 15, a new mixed-use development today (2 July) that will transform the former Taylor’s College Subang Jaya campus into a vibrant destination for residential living, student living, and community lifestyle.
Located in SS15, Subang Jaya, with a gross development value (GDV) of roughly RM540 million, the project is being developed to fulfil rising demand for residence and student accommodation within the Subang Jaya-Sunway education corridor.
According to Gim Teck Yew, chief executive officer of Gamuda Land, Haus on 15 consists of three blocks — two private condominium blocks and one purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) block.
“Details regarding the selling price and the target take-up rate have not yet been disclosed, as we are awaiting all relevant approvals before making an official announcement,” he said during a press conference at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Yew added that the official launch of Haus on 15 is scheduled this coming September, coinciding with the opening of the sales gallery, which is expected to be completed within the next few months.
The project will feature a PBSA component managed by Taylor’s Residence, comprising of 253 units with a capacity of 401 beds.
Located in one of Malaysia’s most established education-led urban ecosystemsSS15 is a mature township widely recognised as part of the broader Subang Jaya-Sunway education corridor, one of the highest concentrations of tertiary institutions in Malaysia.
Within a three-to-five kilometre radius, the area is anchored by major institutions including Taylor’s University, Monash University Malaysia, Sunway University, INTI International College, and SEGi College Subang Jaya, collectively forming a student population base widely estimated at over 100,000 students across the wider Sunway-Subang catchment.
This dense ecosystem has positioned Subang Jaya as a consistently high-demand rental and student accommodation market.
The SS15 precinct has evolved from a student enclave into a fully integrated urban hub characterised by strong pedestrian, F&B density, and transit-oriented connectivity.
It also benefits from direct access to the SS15 LRT station (Kelana Jaya Line), connectivity to major highways including the Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), and immediate adjacency to retail and lifestyle hubs such as Subang Parade, Empire Subang, and Sunway Pyramid.
Haus on 15 will be managed by internationally award-winning PBSA operator, Taylor’s Hostel Management.
