MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i now supports Samsung Wallet and Google Pay

MBSB Bank customers can now add their Visa Debit Card-i to Samsung Wallet and Google Pay, allowing them to make contactless payments on their Android smartphones instead of a physical card.

MBSB Bank customers can use Samsung Wallet and Google Pay at participating Visa merchants both in Malaysia and overseas. For Apple users, MBSB Bank confirmed that Apple Pay support will be available in the coming months.

To celebrate the launch, MBSB Bank is also offering RM5 ZUS Coffee vouchers for eligible Samsung Wallet users, along with a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite (Wi-Fi).

Contactless payments secured with tokenisation

According to MBSB Bank, payments made through Samsung Wallet and Google Pay are authenticated using the security features available on the customer’s device. The bank added that tokenisation replaces the actual card details with a unique digital identifier for every transaction, providing an additional layer of security.

The bank also highlighted Malaysia’s growing adoption of digital payments, citing 18.4 billion electronic payment transactions in 2025, representing a 25% year-on-year increase, with an average of 538 cashless payments per person.

Besides Samsung Wallet and Google Pay, MBSB Bank said it will introduce Apple Pay in the coming months as part of its expanding digital payment services.

MBSB x Samsung Wallet promo: RM5 ZUS Coffee voucher and Galaxy Tab S10 Lite giveaway

MBSB Bank is currently running a Samsung Wallet campaign from 18 June until 31 August 2026, which is open to both new and existing MBSB Visa Debit Card-i cardholders.

To receive a free RM5 ZUS Coffee voucher, customers need to add their MBSB Visa Debit Card-i to Samsung Wallet and make their first payment using Samsung Wallet.

Take note that the RM5 ZUS Coffer voucher is limited to 1,000 redemptions on a first-come, first-served basis.

To qualify, users must first join the promo in the Samsung Wallet app by heading to the Promotions tab, tap on the campaign banner and accept the campaign T&C before making the qualifying payment.

Meanwhile, customers who spend RM30 or more in a single eligible Samsung Wallet transaction using their MBSB Visa Debit Card-i will receive one lucky draw entry for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite (Wi-Fi).

MBSB Bank is giving away a total of six Galaxy Tab S10 Lite (Wi-Fi) tablets throughout the campaign.
