Khairul Aming Takes Product Launch To New Heights, From The Top Of Merdeka 118 Tonight

One of Malaysia’s favourite food content creator is literally taking things to another level as he launches his highly anticipated sambal product tonight (7 August) at 9pm via a TikTok Live session.

Khairul Aming, famously known for his Sambal Nyet condiment, recently announced that he will be broadcasting the release of the all-new Sambal Nyet Bilis from the highest point of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Merdeka 118, now officially known as Menara Merdeka Maybank.

“The Sambal Nyet Bilis launch ceremony will be broadcasted lived from the tip of Merdeka 118, the tallest landmark in Malaysia and and second tallest in the world,” he said in a post on Threads.

The influencer and entrepreneur also highlighted how his first Sambal Nyet product was only launched at a roadside kedai runcit six years ago.

Earlier this week, Khairul teased the fourth product in his widely popular Sambal Nyet line.

This time, the sambal will feature ikan bilis (anchovies), which he said is inspired by the kind of sambal Malaysians grew up with.

The recipe will also lean more on green chillies instead of the red chillies in his earlier Sambal Nyet products. According to him, this provides a milder spiciness and fresher aroma for the sambal.

Khairul even travelled to the east coast of the Malaysian peninsula, in order to understand the process of catching ikan bilis, and also went to a chilli farm in Selangor to learn how local farmers cultivate their crops.

This type of dedication and passion are just a couple if reasons why Malaysians trust Khairul and his sambal products.

With three production lines at his factory in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Khairul said his team of 100 workers are capable of producing up to 12,000 jars of sambal every day.

So, if you’re ready to battle it out with other sambal fans, there will be 125,000 bottles of Sambal Nyet Bilis being launched tonight at 9pm on Khairul’s TikTok Live session.
