71yo Man Allegedly Rapes Boss' 18yo Daughter Inside Men's Toilet At Penang Mall | WeirdKaya

A septuagenarian has pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape and one charge of having intercourse against the order of nature at the Sessions Court in Penang today.

The accused, Chuah Cheng Seng, made the plea before after both charges were read before Judge Juraidah Abbas, reported Berita Harian and NST.

According to the charge sheet, Chuah allegedly raped his employer’s 18-year-old daughter inside a men’s toilet located on the second floor of a shopping mall at 4.30pm on Oct 1.

Under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, he faces imprisonment of up to 20 years and whipping upon conviction.

Chuah was also accused of intentionally committing an act of carnal intercourse against the order of nature with the victim at the same time and location.

If convicted under Section 377C of the Penal Code, he faces imprisonment of between five and 20 years and whipping.

According to earlier media reports, Chuah was remanded for seven days by police following the alleged crime.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Anuarul Hakim Abdul Muen offered bail of RM10,000 for each charge, along with additional conditions such as prohibiting Chuah from disturbing prosecution witnesses and the victim, as well as surrendering his passport until the case is concluded.

However, defense lawyer K Mahendran objected the bail amount and requested it to be lowered as Chuah is currently unemployed, has diabetes, and depends on his child for financial support.

Bail was set at RM14,000 bail for all charges with one surety, and the court ordered Chuah to report to a nearby police station on the first day of every month until the case is disposed.

The court also set Nov 16 for case mention and submission of documents.
