After being caught on video damaging parked cars, a 25-year-old foreign national was taken into custody yesterday afternoon close to the Batu Pahat bus terminal.

Bystanders captured the incident, which happened at 3:30 p.m. and it became viral online very fast.

The Batu Pahat police investigated after seeing the viral video and detained the man, who was later discovered to have entered the country illegally.

Chief of Batu Pahat District Police Sharul Annuar said that the suspect's capture followed a tip from members of the public.

A folding knife was found in the man's possession during the arrest.
