A Bangkok condominium management’s inaction against complaints about noisy pets, considering they have a no-pets policy, has caused a resident to take drastic action to get their attention.
According to a report by The Thaiger, the resident decided to protest by releasing 2 huge snakes into the condominium’s hallway after the management allegedly ignored complaints about noisy pets in the building.
While the condominium has a no-pets policy, many residents have secretly kept dogs, cats, birds and other animals in their units. However, it wasn’t exactly a secret, as the animals were noisy enough to prompt repeated complaints from other rule-abiding residents.
The one resident’s protest in the form of snakes came after the condominium management apparently allowed these complaints to fall on deaf ears for years. He also released the snakes to discourage pet owners in the building from letting their pets roam the hallways.
The snakes worked!Following the protest with snakes, the condominium management finally took action by handing each pet owner a fine of 10,000 baht (RM1,303) and ordered all pets to be relocated.
The resident who released the snakes was also fined, though the amount was undisclosed.
