Kind hearted M’sian saves helpless puppy after hearing its painful cries from nearby forest.

One of WeirdKaya’s readers, Priyanka, recently shared a heartwarming story about how she and her father bravely rescued a trapped puppy from a dense forest right next to their home.

According to Priyanka, the entire experience reminded her that no matter how small a life is, every soul deserves compassion and care, and we couldn’t agree more.

‘We could hear it screaming in pain since 6.30am’

Priyanka told us that the forest where the puppy was found was located just beside their housing area and could even be seen from their balcony.

Her father, Mr Rajendran, first heard the sound of a puppy crying in distress as early as 6.30am.

Concerned by the painful and desperate cries, he eventually decided, together with Priyanka, to find a way into the forest and help the poor pup.

Their first attempt was unsuccessful, not only was the sound difficult to locate, but they were also concerned about their safety.

However, just 10 minutes later, her father could not take it any longer and insisted on going back in.

Trapped but not injured

They feared the worst, perhaps the puppy had been attacked by wild boars. But to their relief, it had only been trapped and was not physically injured.

What came next was a rescue mission that reflected sheer determination and love for animals.

‘My father cut down the tree with his bare hands’

When they finally found the puppy, it had been caught in a cable trap tied between two trees. Without wasting any time, Priyanka’s father cut down the smaller tree trunk to loosen the trap and used his bare hands to unlock the cable.

While he focused on freeing the puppy, Priyanka distracted it as it was frightened and slightly aggressive.

Once the cable was removed from its leg, the puppy immediately ran off.

The puppy ran straight to Priyanka’s home.

Her mother, who was outside, offered it some water. Moments later, the puppy was reunited with its furry friends in the neighbourhood.
