Police: Man believed to have fallen from Kuching airport’s third floor a foreigner

KUCHING (Sept 19): Police have revealed that the man who is believed to have fallen from the third floor of the Kuching International Airport yesterday afternoon is a foreigner.

Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said a report on the incident was received by Sungai Maong police station at around 3pm.

“Acting on information received, a team from the Sungai Maong police station went to the scene. However, the victim had already been brought to the Red Zone of Sarawak General Hospital’s emergency unit.

“It was also found that the foreign man is married to a Malaysian,” he said in a statement.

Alexson called on those with information on the incident to contact Sungai Maong police station chief Insp Awang Ramzi Awang Junaidi on 014-8444123, or the Sungai Maong police station on 082-420469, or head to the nearest police station.

He also advised the public not to speculate on the incident out of respect for the man’s family.
