Miri cops seek help to find 77-year-old man missing since Sept 14

MIRI (Sept 19): The police are appealing to the public to help locate 77-year-old Chong Nyuk Fah @ Tian Foh, who has been missing since Sunday (Sept 14) after leaving his home in Senadin.

Miri police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said Chong’s family members filed a missing person’s report yesterday.

“The senior citizen was reported to have left home at Lot 4728, Jalan Maigold 3A, Senadin 3, on Sept 14, around 10pm, driving a white Toyota Hilux with the licence plate  QMT 6963.

“The last time he was seen was on Sept 15, at 9am at Simpang Bakun. At the time, he was wearing a white shirt with blue stripes, grey shorts, and black slippers as shown in the photo,” Mohd Farhan said in a statement today.

He said the initial investigation found the vehicle abandoned by the roadside on the Pan Borneo Highway near the Batu Niah junction.

He described Chong as being around 165cm in height with slightly long black and grey hair, a sharp nose, small eyes, and light brown skin.

Those with any information related to the case should contact Lutong Police Station chief Sgt Husaini Amin on 019-8889530 or 085-655202, or go to the nearest police station.
