sooka Gilerrr Streaming Challenge Sets Malaysia Book of Records Title After Massive Turnout At Pavilion Bukit Jalil | WeirdKaya
The sooka Gilerrr Streaming Challenge drew hundreds to Pavilion Bukit Jalil on Nov. 29, 2025, where 273 participants spent a full day competing in a series of challenges — all while streaming sooka LIVE.

The event ended on a high note as sooka officially earned a Malaysia Book of Records title for having the Most Participants in a Streaming Multitasking Challenge.

The large turnout reflected sooka’s aim of celebrating Malaysians’ bold and sometimes “gilerrr” passion for entertainment and sports.

It also marked the first time sooka hosted an event of this scale, and the overwhelming response showed just how strongly the platform connects with its audience.

Contestants streamed non-stop while completing ‘gilerrr’ challenges

Throughout the challenge, contestants were put through fast-paced and challenging tasks.

The day began with a “sooka says” round, where participants had to follow rapid instructions without looking away from their screens.

This was followed by a “pontianak” distraction challenge filled with feather tickles, jokes and jump scares.

Participants then faced a freeze test where they had to maintain a pose while still streaming, before entering the final and most difficult stage — balancing a can of drink on one hand without dropping it.

After powering through every round, one outstanding contestant emerged as the winner and walked away with a Proton e.MAS 5 Prime.

Other top performers took home a variety of prizes, including a Samsung 85-inch QLED Smart TV, an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a MacBook Air, a Samsung gaming monitor, a PlayStation 5 Pro, a DJI Pocket 3 Creator Combo, a Dyson hair dryer, Sony headphones and an RM1,000 JD gift card.

Celebrities and performers kept the crowd entertained

Fans were also treated to appearances by sooka brand ambassadors Evertts Gomes, Aiman Ameer, Wani Kayrie and Kimberly Chuah, who spent the day interacting with the crowd.

Performances and appearances from Dewi Remaja finalists, Jaguh Rakan Muda contestants, the Top 12 from Astro Star Quest, and artists such as Uriah See, ALPHA, Qasrina Karim, Mierul Aiman and Khai Bahar kept the atmosphere lively throughout the event.

Sneak peek of sooka Shorts

The challenge also doubled as a content milestone for the platform with the early preview of sooka Shorts, sooka’s new microdrama format launching this December.

Designed for viewers who want short, captivating stories that fit busy schedules, sooka Shorts will debut titles such as Mandrem, Gadis Dihina Pemilik Empayar, Mak Kau CEO Aku and Raja Fitnah. More Chinese and Korean microdrama content will be added in the coming months, giving viewers an even wider selection of rapid-fire storytelling.

Selected episodes will be available for free, while full access will be included for customers on the Entertainment plan and above.

With a record-breaking turnout, a new Malaysia Book of Records title and the launch of sooka Shorts, the sooka Gilerrr Streaming Challenge marked a major milestone for sooka as it continues expanding its presence in Malaysia’s entertainment scene.
