Penang Man Wins RM10.63mil Using Numbers From Parking Lot & Father-In-Law's Car Plate | WeirdKaya
A senior technician from Bayan Lepas, Penang, walked away with millions of Ringgit after he struck gold in the Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot 1 draw last week.

The man in his 50s won a staggering RM10.63 million thanks to a combination of numbers that included a visitor parking lot and his father-in-law’s car plate.

How he did it

According to The Star, the man had invited his father-in-law to his apartment for a birthday celebration on June 6.

Due to limited space, he applied for a parking slot and was assigned the number ‘2555’.

Struck by a dose of inspiration, the man decided to pair it with his father-in-law’s car plate number, ‘1181’, along with several other numbers he regularly purchased.

The combination turned out to be the best he concocted as it netted him RM10,627,852 in winnings.

Will continue working

Despite the windfall, the man said he will continue to work at his job as a technician in the Bayan Lepas industrial zone.

“Having worked in the industrial zone for so long, waking up to traffic jams and facing machines and data every day, it was all to pay off the car loan, the mortgage and my children’s future university tuition.

Utilising prize money

The man added that he will first use his winnings to settle the remaining mortgage on his apartment.

After that, he will set aside a portion for his children’s education and give an angpau to his father-in-law to show his gratitude.

He also said that he plans to donate part of the prize money towards charitable causes, particularly education-related assistance.

“I’ve contacted several schools and orphanages in Penang and hope to establish scholarships for students pursuing science, technology and engineering studies who face financial difficulties.

“I was blessed with this win not to turn into a wasteful rich man, but to free my family from financial worries and enable me to help those in need.

‘I’m still that same working-class guy who clocks in and clocks out every single day.”
