Why the United States is Greater Israel's real target

The main target of Greater Israel is not the Middle East but the United States of America, writes Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Mohamed Ghouse Nasuruddin.

Most people have been led to believe that the concept of Greater Israel is confined to the Middle East, encompassing the land between the Nile and the Euphrates as the biblical homeland of the Jews, ordained by God for the chosen people.

But the main target of Greater Israel is not the Middle East. It is the United States of America.

The Zionists are well on their way to turning the United States into Greater Israel through their control of government agencies and private enterprises, and what I see as the subservience of successive US administrations to their agenda.

Since its establishment in 1948, the Zionist settler state has pursued Greater Israel on two fronts.

The first is the overt objective of expanding its control in the Middle East through military force and strategic manoeuvring. The second is the longer-term objective of exerting influence over the United States – its government, economy and military.

That strategy has advanced steadily, as reflected in the following examples of the United States serving the Zionist agenda, both internationally and domestically.

Almost all US presidents, members of Congress and other elected officials have visited Israel to pray at the Western Wall.

A significant number of members of the US House of Representatives and Senate have received substantial campaign support from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Republican Jewish Coalition, including funding for their re-election campaigns.

Apart from Jimmy Carter, every US president since John F. Kennedy has received campaign contributions from AIPAC and Jewish billionaires.

Vice-president J.D. Vance received US$15 million in campaign contributions in 2021 for his successful Ohio Senate campaign from Peter Thiel, founder of Palantir Technologies, which has contracts with the Israeli military and intelligence services.

The United States provides more than US$3 billion in annual aid to Israel. In March 2026, it approved the transfer of 12,000 1,000-pound bombs to Israel without congressional review.

Recently, three senior US officials who visited Israel – special envoy Steve Witkoff, Elbridge A. Colby and Michael P. DiMino IV – reportedly had spyware secretly installed on their mobile phones.

At the United Nations, the United States has vetoed more than 50 resolutions critical of Israel, including six since October 2023.

The United States has also sanctioned 11 judges of the International Criminal Court for issuing arrest warrants against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes.

Earlier this month, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio threatened a “sweeping campaign” to dismantle the International Criminal Court over what he described as the “intolerable threat” it posed to US sovereignty.

The United States has also sanctioned a United Nations rapporteur for reporting on atrocities and genocide committed by Israel, as well as three Palestinian rights organisations – Al-Haq, Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights.

On the first day of his second term, Donald Trump signed an executive order revoking the Biden administration’s sanctions against dozens of Israeli settler groups and entities in the occupied West Bank.

In July, Congressman Ro Khanna, a Democrat, and members of his delegation were reportedly held at gunpoint by Israeli settlers for an hour while visiting the occupied West Bank before being escorted out by the Israel Defence Forces.

This year, the House of Representatives passed the National Defence Authorisation Act 2027, integrating the United States and Israeli defence industrial bases and supply chains.

These are just some examples of Israel’s growing influence over the United States.

Unless this trend is reversed, the Zionists will consolidate their position as the imperial masters of what could become the “United States of Israel”, making the United States a component of Greater Israel.
