Volvo EX30 Cross Country EV Launched For RM218,888

Volvo Car Malaysia has officially introduced the all-new Volvo EX30 Cross Country, expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the brand’s first-ever fully electric Cross Country model.

The Volvo EX30 Cross Country becomes the latest addition to Volvo Car Malaysia’s electric line-up. Positioned as an outdoor-ready compact SUV capable of tackling urban commutes and weekend camping trips alike, the locally assembled EX30 Cross Country starts at RM218,888 on the road without insurance.

To mark the launch, Volvo Car Malaysia is offering an exclusive early-bird privilege package for the first 100 customer reservations. The launch bundle includes a RM12,000 cash rebate, a complimentary Volvo Wallbox charger worth RM3,990, load carriers valued at RM2,098, and a roof-mounted cargo basket valued at RM3,680.

Concurrently, Volvo Car Malaysia announced updated MY27 pricing for the standard EX30 Ultra, repositioning the urban variant from RM198,888 without insurance across four exterior colors: Crystal White, Vapour Grey, Cloud Blue, and Onyx Black. The EX30 Ultra comes with a single motor, 272hp, a 0-100km/h time of just 5.3 seconds, 175kW DC fast charging, and 475km of range.

Ruggedized Exterior Styling and Raised Ground Clearance

Building upon the Scandinavian design of the standard EX30, the EX30 Cross Country variant introduces purpose-built visual and mechanical revisions tailored for light trail driving:

Twin-Motor AWD: 428 hp and 3.7-Second Acceleration

Underneath its lifted stance, the EX30 Cross Country features high-output twin-motor performance:

Eco-Conscious Cabin, Google Built-In, and Smart Storage

The interior emphasizes environmental responsibility, pairing bio-attributed Nordico upholstery and upcycled denim interior panels with dark blue night-sky accents and a panoramic glass roof.

Safe Space Technology and Digital Service Booking

The SUV features Volvo’s standard-setting Safe Space Technology, backed by corner radar units, collision-avoidance active steering and braking, a Driver Understanding attention monitoring system, and next-generation Pilot Assist.

The model launch also marks the debut of Digital Service Booking (DSB) in Malaysia. Available via the official Volvo Car Malaysia portal or the Volvo Cars smartphone app, DSB allows owners to schedule aftersales appointments online with authorized retailers across the Klang Valley, with wider regional deployment planned nationwide.
