West, Central Gates of EcoWorld’s Eco Business Park V 85% sold

PUNCAK ALAM (May 12): The West and Central Gates of Eco Business Park V (EBP 5), a joint-venture industrial park development between Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), have achieved a take-up rate of 85%.

The 723.7-acre (292.87-hectare) EBP 5 comprises five phases, namely the 130.4-acre East Gate, 117.35-acre West Gate, 92.3-acre South Gate, 112.85-acre North Gate, and 270.8-acre Central Gate. It has a combined gross development value of RM3 billion. 

EcoWorld Malaysia is eyeing to launch the 92-acre South Gate this year, which will offer factory units with larger layout designs and industrial lots.

To date, the East Gate, which was launched in 2018, and the North Gate launched in 2020 have been completely sold. Meanwhile, the Central Gate, which is an ongoing phase that was first introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic in December 2021, had recorded sales of over RM246.16 million as at Feb 28, 2023.

In the opening speech of the sales and purchase agreement (SPA) signing ceremony between EcoWorld Malaysia and 18 buyers of the West and Central Gates, EcoWorld Malaysia president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah said that the industrial property segment is very important for the company, bringing in the highest sales for the group amounting to RM616 million in the first four months ended Feb 28, 2023 (4MFY2023).

“Since its launch in 2017, EBP 5 has managed to achieve total sales of RM1.18 billion (as at Feb 28, 2023). It is a remarkable milestone,” Chang added. 

EB Frozen Food Sdn Bhd, one of the buyers of the West Gate, acquired a seven-acre plot on Friday (May 12). Meanwhile, TTL Sales & Rental Sdn Bhd signed the SPA for a 4.7-acre plot in the Central Gate. Prices of these lots start from RM90 psf. 

The signing ceremony on Friday also concluded sales of 21 cluster and semi-detached factories in the Central Gate. The land sizes of these factories range from 60ft by 100ft to 70ft by 200ft, with prices starting from RM2.2 million. 

The West Gate has a total of 16 industrial lots ranging from three to 20 acres, while the Central Gate comprises 37 industrial lots ranging from one to six acres as well as 84 factories with built-ups up to 7,016 sq ft. 

Among the signees of the factory units included TTL Holdings Bhd, Everbest Group, Show Gear Pro AV Sdn Bhd, Alive Hygiene Sdn Bhd, Piping Technology Sdn Bhd, Golden Trilogy Sdn Bhd, Best Light City Sdn Bhd, Li Rex Sdn Bhd, Yeoh Venture Management, Ecoway Concept Sdn Bhd, Megasyn Technologies Sdn Bhd, Kakimotor.com Sdn Bhd, Jipinhe Scones Malaysia, TRUE AIRE Technologies Sdn Bhd, PCL Global Freight and Ecobright Group Sdn Bhd.
