iPad mini 7 prices: list shows where it's least and most expensive

Apple on Tuesday announced a new generation iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip, which enables support for Apple Intelligence features. The new iPad is now available for pre-order and will arrive in stores in 29 countries next Wednesday, October 23. And if you’re wondering, there’s already a list ranking the prices of the iPad mini 7 by country.

iPad mini 7 price ranking by country

Nukeni, a research company known for ranking the prices of Apple devices by country, has just updated its list with the recently launched iPad mini 7. The new iPad starts at $499 in the US with the 128GB Wi-Fi model. However, this is not the cheapest price for the new iPad. Hong Kong is the country where the iPad mini 7 is cheapest, with a starting price of $489.

In Malaysia, the base model iPad mini costs $510, which is similar to the US price (excluding taxes). Since the list is quite long, we’ve listed below the 10 countries where the iPad mini 7 costs the least:

But what about the countries where the iPad mini 7 has the highest prices? In this scenario, Brazil leads the ranking with the base iPad mini model costing $1,063 – more than double the US price. Turkey follows behind with a starting price of $701.

It’s worth noting that the list only includes countries where Apple sells its products directly through its official store. There are regions in the world where products can cost even more, such as Argentina (but Apple doesn’t have an official store there).

Of course, prices can vary for a number of reasons. The main one is the exchange rate of local currencies against the dollar. Taxes imposed by each government also have an impact on the cost of products. Brazil, for example, has a policy of imposing high taxes on imported products. Turkey, on the other hand, has faced a harsh economic recession in recent years.

The main new feature of the iPad mini 7 is certainly the A17 Pro chip with 8GB of RAM, the same as the iPhone 15 Pro. It enables Apple Intelligence for the iPad mini, as the previous model had an A15 Bionic chip with only 3GB RAM and won’t get Apple Intelligence features with iPadOS 18.1.

From the outside, the new iPad mini 7 looks exactly the same as its predecessor, except for two new colors available: a lighter purple and blue. Apple has updated connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C 3.1 with speeds of up to 10 Gbps.

Pre-orders for the iPad mini 7 are now available on Apple’s website, but you can also find good deals on other iPad models on Amazon.
