Two vehicles razed by fire at Kpg Sungai Tapang Kuching

KUCHING, Dec 25: A fire broke out involving two vehicles occurred at Kampung Sungai Tapang here this afternoon.

According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 2.40pm and dispatched a team from Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.

“The blaze engulfed two vehicles—a Mazda, which was completely destroyed, and a BMW, which suffered 95 per cent damage.

“The firefighting team utilised one initial water hose line and one two-nozzle water line to extinguish the fire,” it said.

Firefighters brought the situation under control by 2.54pm and concluded their operations at 3.37pm.

No casualties were reported, and the identities of the vehicle owners remain unknown.

The case has been handed over to the police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
