A man in Taiwan turned the tables and “scammed” the scammers and retrieved the money that they took away from his father.
For his mission, which sounded impossible, the man played three different roles in convincing the scammers by luring the racketeers into believing they would receive bigger investments from three interested parties who wanted to invest with them.
In a report by the South China Morning Post, the man played the roles so well that he successfully convinced the scammers by telling them he needed the funds immediately for a family emergency.
After hours and cycles of convincing games and playing the roles of investors, the man retrieved the RM94,000 that the scammers initially stole from his father. The scammers had a taste of their own medicine.
Taiwan EBC News also revealed that the father had fallen victim to an online investment scam after the scammer posed as a woman and used constant flattery to persuade him to invest.
How the man managed to come up with the idea of scamming the scammers is beyond our imagination.
