Apple has officially confirmed that WWDC 2025 will take place from 9 to 13 June, continuing its online format while offering an in-person event at Apple Park on 9 June. The event will be free for all developers, featuring the Keynote, Platforms State of the Union, and interactive sessions with Apple engineers.
What to Expect at WWDC 2025
As always, WWDC will showcase Apple’s latest software updates, giving developers insight into new tools and technologies. While Apple has not officially confirmed details, past trends suggest:
• iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 – Expected to introduce UI design changes, new system-wide features, and deeper integration across devices.
• watchOS 12 & tvOS 19 – Updates for Apple Watch and Apple TV are anticipated, though specific details remain unknown.
• AI and Siri Enhancements – Apple has been investing heavily in AI, and WWDC may provide the first official look at how these advancements will be integrated into its ecosystem.
Apple’s Push for Developer Innovation
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said:
“We’re excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community. We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate.”
Developers and students can stream WWDC25 sessions via the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, and YouTube channel.
Apple is also supporting the next generation of developers through the Swift Student Challenge, with winners being notified on 27 March. Fifty Distinguished Winners will be invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience.
The in-person event at Apple Park will offer select developers a chance to watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union, meet Apple engineers, and participate in exclusive activities. Space is limited, and application details are available on the WWDC25 website.
Apple will share additional WWDC25 updates through the Apple Developer app and official website leading up to the event.
