DBKL Shuts Down 4 Brothels in Bukit Bintang, Demolishes Special Rooms for Prostitution Activities

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has taken enforcement action against premises offering sexual services in Bukit Bintang area.

According to a statement, the raid was based on monitoring and intelligence conducted around the location for several days before enforcement was carried out. As a result of the intelligence, four premises were identified as conducting prostitution activities around the location during the operation.

The four premises were immediately closed under the Local Government Act 1976. DBKL also demolished internal structures built to create special rooms for prostitution activities.

Additionally, DBKL issued four compound notices under the Licensing of Trades, Businesses, and Industries (WPKL) By-Laws 2016 and seized all items related to prostitution activities including sex paranaphelia, such as lubricants and condoms.

All seized items were taken to the Jalan Lombong Seizure Depot, Taman Miharja Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, for recording and documentation.
