The Beijing International Fair for Investment and Trade (BIIT) took center stage at the China National Convention Center II from May 8 to 9, 2025, held in tandem with the China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC). Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, this year’s BIIT embraced the theme of “Collaborate, Share, Prosper.”
The event aimed to foster practical cooperation for Chinese enterprises venturing overseas, while contributing to Beijing’s pursuit of high-quality development through enhanced global engagement.
Strategic Focus and Global ParticipationBIIT spotlighted key industries including next-generation information technology, healthcare, smart manufacturing, financial technology, and business services. Representatives from major international organizations, such as the Representative Office of the League of Arab States in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Saudi National Industrial Development Center, joined the discussions.
Centered on global market investment trends and policy environments, the event brought together over 600 representatives from investment institutions, industry organizations, diplomatic missions, and corporate delegations, setting the stage for deepened global partnerships.
Building Bridges Across Key MarketsThis year, BIIT honed in on pivotal regions for Chinese enterprises looking to expand, including the Middle East, ASEAN, Latin America, and Europe. Through a series of promotional exchanges, roundtable dialogues, exhibitions, and one-on-one negotiations, the event created a platform for cross-border dialogue and collaboration.
More than 300 Chinese and international companies participated in on-site discussions, exploring new opportunities for bilateral investment and deeper cooperation. Notable participants included:
Spotlight on Saudi Collaboration: Beijing-Saudi Advanced Manufacturing DialogueIn a bid to deepen ties with the Middle East, BIIT launched the Beijing-Saudi Advanced Manufacturing Dialogue. The event brought together key stakeholders, including the Executive Vice President of the Saudi National Industrial Development Center, who outlined Saudi Arabia’s investment strategies, industrial land policies, and critical incentives for global partners.
Through one-on-one business meetings, Saudi enterprises connected directly with Chinese firms in sectors such as smart manufacturing, modern logistics, green energy, and infrastructure projects. This targeted matchmaking facilitated practical project collaborations, driving forward the agenda for mutual growth.
Comprehensive Exhibition and Consultation ZonesTo enhance investment opportunities, BIIT featured six themed exhibition and negotiation zones that covered investment policies, key industrial parks, financial services, accounting, taxation, and talent services. Government agencies, major industrial parks, overseas investment promotion agencies, and CCPIT Beijing were on hand to provide real-time consultations, address business inquiries, and offer resource-matching support to both Chinese and international firms.
Strategic Cooperation AgreementsBIIT also served as a platform for key signings. The CCPIT Beijing inked strategic cooperation agreements with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangxi Committee (CCPIT Guangxi) and the Dongcheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. Meanwhile, the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce secured partnerships with the ASEAN-China Economic and Trade Promotion Association (ACETP) and the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
The agreements encompassed critical sectors, including automotive finance, M&A funds, talent development, healthcare, and international expansion services, paving the way for stronger regional cooperation and enhanced cross-border investments.
A Gateway to Global TradeBIIT 2025 reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to international collaboration and economic connectivity. Through strategic dialogue, targeted matchmaking, and comprehensive service platforms, the event laid solid foundations for sustainable global partnerships and high-quality growth in priority sectors.
