True heroes behind every generation: TYT pays tribute to fathers

KUCHING, June 14: Behind every successful family stands a father who fights relentlessly, whether in villages or cities, from all walks of life and professions, and is the true hero in shaping the nation’s future for the next generation.

In his Father’s Day 2025 message, Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar expressed that Father’s Day is more than just a celebration, as it is a time to remember their contributions, express gratitude, and show appreciation to them.

“A father bears the heavy responsibility of leading a family, ensuring the well-being, safety, and future of his children,” he said.

He went on to say that a father is the backbone of the family and a steadfast supporter through every challenge in life.

“Though his love is rarely expressed in words, every drop of sweat and every effort he puts forth stands as undeniable proof of his boundless love for the well-being of his family.

“Fathers teach us responsibility, patience, resilience, and strength. His advice guides us through life, while his firmness shapes our character and our ability to endure challenges,” he said.

He also urged Sarawakians never to forget the sacrifices of their fathers, to cherish them while they are still around, express their appreciation, and continue the legacy of noble values instilled in them. To those who have lost their fathers, he encouraged them to offer prayers and charity.

“Therefore, on this special day, Toh Puan (Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi) and I would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all fathers for their selfless sacrifices, given without expecting anything in return.

“We wish all fathers across the country a Happy Father’s Day. May Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala continuously bless all fathers with abundant grace, good health, strength, and sustained livelihood, so they may continue to guide and nurture the next generation.” — DayakDaily
