TNB Says Electricity Bills Weren’t Affected By Graph Blip

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has confirmed that the electricity usage graphs on its myTNB mobile application are now fully functional following a system correction.
The display issue had caused unusually high kilowatt-hour (kWh) readings to appear in both the daily and monthly graphs. The anomaly quickly drew attention on social media, with users expressing concern over the accuracy of their electricity consumption data.
TNB clarified that the glitch was limited to the visual representation of usage data in the app and did not affect actual meter readings or billing. All electricity charges remained accurate throughout the period.
The company has since rectified the problem and apologised for the confusion caused. It also assured users that continuous monitoring will be carried out to ensure the app remains stable and reliable moving forward.
