The Hari Hong Kong Launches Immersive Night Tour Of Wan Chai

The Hari Hong Kong has launched a new after-dark walking tour that sheds fresh light on one of the city’s oldest and most characterful neighbourhoods, Wan Chai. In partnership with licensed guide and travel content creator @explore_hongkong, the hotel has introduced the Best of Wan Chai at Night Tour – Explore Hong Kong like a Local, offering guests an immersive experience that blends local history, culture and food with lesser-known urban rituals.

The private tour runs daily from 5pm and spans approximately 2.5 hours, taking participants through both Wan Chai and neighbouring Causeway Bay. Along the way, guests learn about the district’s colourful past, its evolution from a fishing village into a modern metropolis, and Hong Kong’s deep-rooted traditions, including its practice of Feng Shui.

Tour highlights include a ride on the historic 100-year-old Ding Ding tram, a visit to a 140-year-old tea shop, street food tastings, and a walk through local wet and street markets. Participants will also cross one of the city’s busiest intersections and experience ‘Villain Hitting’—a form of Chinese folk sorcery rarely encountered by tourists.
