Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Opens In Malaysia’s Tallest Skyscraper

The Park Hyatt brand has made its long-awaited debut in Malaysia with the opening of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. The new outpost is situated within the upper levels of Merdeka 118 – the tallest skyscraper in Asia Pacific and the second tallest in the world.

Spanning floors 75 to 114 of the landmark tower, the hotel offers 252 luxurious guestrooms and suites, each designed as a private sanctuary in the sky. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide sweeping views across Kuala Lumpur, with interiors inspired by traditional Malay Kampung houses, Peranakan textures, and local artisanal elements.

“We are excited to introduce the Park Hyatt brand to Malaysia with this milestone opening,” said David Udell, Group President, Asia Pacific at Hyatt. “This marks a significant chapter for our expansion in Southeast Asia, as well as our 50th Park Hyatt property globally.”

City-Vibes

Dining at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur reflects the city’s rich multicultural heritage. Merdeka Grill presents a modern interpretation of the classic grill, featuring premium cuts and seafood, while Park Lounge offers rare Malaysian heritage dishes alongside a refined afternoon tea experience. The city’s first chocolate-themed bar, Cacao Mixology & Chocolate, invites guests to enjoy cacao-inspired cocktails, panoramic skyline views, and live Bossa nova music.

The hotel’s wellness offering, located on the 99th floor, includes a 30-metre infinity pool, Himalayan salt alcove, aromatherapy steam bath, and one of Southeast Asia’s only circadian rhythm therapy programmes. Guests can also blend their own bath salts using locally inspired calming ingredients.

Leap Off Point

In collaboration with the Merdeka 118 precinct, guests have exclusive access to nearby cultural landmarks such as Stadium Merdeka, the Merdeka Textile Museum, and Al-Sultan Abdullah Mosque, offering a deeper insight into Malaysia’s heritage.

General Manager Herman Kemp noted, “From locally inspired design and cuisine to thoughtful wellness experiences,Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur delivers an elevated, culturally rich stay from a truly unique vantage point.”

Part of the Warisan KL heritage initiative, the project aims to revitalise the heart of Kuala Lumpur while celebrating its historical significance. The Park Hyatt’s arrival is a major step in reshaping the city’s luxury hospitality landscape.
