Silver Screen Delights for Seniors at GSC
18 hours ago
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is rolling out the red carpet for Malaysia’s senior citizens with Seniors at the Movies – a monthly cinema day designed just for those aged 55 and above. (It may shock you to learn that GSC considers the relatively youthful age of 55 to be a senior citizen – it certainly did us – but still, almost nobody will turn down the chance to save some money!) The initiative combines affordable entertainment, a touch of pampering, and even a bit of health care, making it more than just a movie outing.
For only RM11, seniors can enjoy a morning screening along with a complimentary drink – hot tea or mineral water – all in the comfort of GSC’s plush seating and quality surround sound. The event first launched at GSC Starling Mall and has now expanded to GSC Paradigm Mall PJ, with each month featuring an easygoing, feel-good movie.
The next screening is Freakier Friday, set for Saturday, August 23 at 11am. In addition to the film, GSC is partnering with Pantai Hospital to provide free on-site basic health screenings, including checks for blood pressure, oxygen levels, and heart rate.
It’s a thoughtful and affordable way to treat parents or grandparents to a relaxed day out – and yes, you can tag along to make it a family affair. Whether they’re seasoned film lovers or just enjoy the occasional big-screen experience, Seniors at the Movies offers an easy, social way to connect and share a few smiles.
Follow GSC’s official website or social media for updates on future screenings and showtimes.
