Humble Journey

Comrades The arduous pledge on our journey to mend broken promises and salvage shattered dreams Whilst disrupting maladies gnawing incessantly at the seams of our souls’ moral compass

Yet we persevere pitching solemn experiences and wisdom For subtle hearts to ponder over the slumbering existence of our pathetic being

So we plod on to unclutter addictive indulgences Between the highways and byways of cultured convoluted life

We pause to reflect the philosophy and history of past comrades Like the shining light-houses of the deep blue seas Helping us navigate through the choppy waters Of the dialectics of evolutionary and revolutionary spirits of today

And we soon fade away like withering leaves on every normal day Without thunderclaps and wailing winds As life …. ought to be

Yet brave hearts willingly offer sacrificing hands To turn this tide of deafening silence Into a harmonious beginning

Alas … this is a protracted struggle In a never-ending journey to be free It is not a hi-tea or a celebrative dinner party

For this day will surely come When rakyat congeal their resolve as one universal family Like prismatic rainbow colours emanating sparkling hues From the everlasting mystical beam of unique transparent Light Nurturing smouldering ambers to generate a new tomorrow
