SESB Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Yaakob Jaafar said the safety of workers remains the company’s top priority while they carry out the repairs.

“Although they are facing bad weather and limited access, our teams continue working day and night to ensure electricity supply can be restored as soon as possible,” he said in a statement on Monday.

According to him, SESB technical crews are deploying their full expertise and equipment on the ground to restore electricity safely and quickly.

He added that the aerial lifting operation was carried out when the rain briefly stopped earlier Monday morning.

“We appeal for public cooperation and patience throughout the restoration works. Our technical teams remain committed to stabilising the power supply for the well-being of the people of Sabah,” Mohd Yaakob said.
